The mission of the Human Resources department is to attract, develop, motivate and retain a diverse and highly qualified workforce. The department is responsible for the recruitment of all full-time and part-time personnel, employee orientation, labor relations, contract administration, payroll, employee policies and all mandatory and fringe benefit programs. In addition to maintaining employee job descriptions, personnel and payroll records, the department administers and enrolls employees in the city's various benefit programs and pension plans.

Facilities Maintenance Manager

The City of Marquette is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager. This position is responsible for the management, maintenance and energy efficiency of City facilities. Also responsible for supervising custodial staff, administering workplace safety programs and ADA compliance. A degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC or related technical field and at least five years previous construction or facility maintenance experience is required. The position offers an attractive salary and full benefits package. Applications will be accepted until April 16, 2010.
