Planning Commission
The Planning Commission was established under the provisions of Public Act 285 of 1931, and the city charter section 4.18. The Planning Commission is responsible for:
- Developing adopting, and maintaining a Community Master Plan for the City of Marquette
- Reviewing development proposals
- Making recommendations on land use issues, zoning changes, and subdivisions to the City Commission
- Review the six year capital outlay budget
The Planning Commission meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the city hall commission chambers and has nine members serving three year terms.

Additional meetings may be called, and changes may be made by action of the commission. Notices will be posted for such changes in compliance with Public Act 267 of 1976. |
Proposed minutes of meetings will be available for public inspection within eight business days after the meeting. Approved minutes will be available for public inspection within five business days after the meeting at which minutes are approved.
