The Public Works Advisory Board was established by the City Commission on January 14, 2002 with informal powers, duties, and procedures.  The board advises the city commission and administration on policy and programs to increase the effectiveness of public works programs including, but not limited to:  storm water utility, storm water management, the water and sewer utility, and the tree ordinance. 

The Board shall be composed of up to seven members serving three year terms. Original appointments to the Board shall be staggered with three members having three year terms, two having two year terms, and two having one year terms.  Board appointments shall be made by the Mayor and City Commission according to charter, and the charter’s limit on the number of years served shall apply to members of the Board. 

Notice is hereby given that the Public Works Advisory Board will hold its regular meetings in the conference room at the Municipal Service Center at 3:00 pm on the third Monday of each month. Additional meetings may be called, and changes may be made by action of the Public Works Advisory Board. Notices will be posted for such changes in compliance with public act 267 of 1976.

Proposed minutes of meetings will be available for public inspection within eight business days after the meeting. Approved minutes will be available for public inspection within 10 business days after the meeting at which minutes are approved.
