Board of Light and Power
The Board of Light and Power (BLP) is an elected body and not appointed by the city commission. The BLP was established by the city charter, section 13-7, and is responsible for the light and power operations in the city. The BLP meets the second and last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm at the BLP Office, 2200 Wright Street. The five elected members of the BLP serve three year terms.
Official minutes of all meetings are on file at the Board of Light and Power office at 2200 Wright Street and are available for inspection. Minutes are also available for inspection at the city clerk's office, upper level of city hall, and the Peter White Public Library, both in Marquette, MI.
Notification will be made of any special meetings or changes to regular meetings. All meetings will be held at the Board of Light and Power Office Building, 2200 Wright Street, (906) 228-0313.
